Experienced Cover Supervisor – Rochester Secondary School | Full Time | Long Term | Immediate Start
Required ASAP – Until the End of the Academic Year
Supply Desk are thrilled to be working with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ Secondary School in Rochester, seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor for a full-time, long-term position starting immediately and continuing until at least the end of the academic year. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a positive, inclusive approach to education who is looking to make a real difference in the lives of secondary students.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining the school’s high standards and supporting students in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, engaging pupils with the lesson content and encouraging active participation.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring students remain focused, respectful, and on task throughout the lesson.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students both in the classroom and during transition periods around the school.
Record and report any incidents or concerns in accordance with school policies.
Provide feedback to teaching staff and assist with monitoring student progress when required.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role within an educational or childcare setting.
Demonstrate a positive, inclusive, and proactive approach to supporting students, with a commitment to engaging all learners and promoting their success.
Possess excellent behaviour management skills and be able to adapt your approach to meet the needs of diverse groups of students.
Be passionate about education and helping students achieve their potential, particularly in a secondary school setting.
Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to process one).
Be able to provide a minimum of two references covering the last two years of employment.
