Job Description
Salter Grange is working with a highly regarded Main Contractor with multiple industry awards; they are seeking a talented CSA Estimator to work on an exciting range of projects, including Data Centres and commercial and industrial ventures in a hybrid capacity in Glasgow.
As a CSA Estimator, you will collaborate with a team of experts and report directly to the commercial manager and esteemed line Directors. You'll be immersed in a stimulating environment that encourages professional growth and creativity.
As a valued team member, you'll be entrusted to obtain market quotations, liaise with vendors and subcontractors, and meticulously examine them for scope gaps and variances. You will also contribute to and maintain the CSA library of rates, fostering a robust knowledge base for future projects.
To excel in this position as a CSA Estimator you must be adept in Tender Document Control for each bid, showcasing your ability to handle critical project documentation precisely.
CSA Estimator Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for the preparation of an accurate, detailed estimate from start to finish.
Prepare a bill of quantities using 2d drawings, and or BIM models, identifying at the outset which is most efficient for each project.
Engage with supply chain locally to obtain sub-contractor quotes / current market rates for incorporation into each tender.
Produce an accurate, fully priced bid including a BQ encapsulating all works required by the employers’ requirements as well as the current market rates at that point in time, for presentation to the group CSA Estimation Manager.
Complete the client pricing document(s) for submission to the client.
Keep up to date with all tender addenda issued both pre-tender and post tender and analyse all for change.
File finalised documentation for future reference as per company filing structures.
CSA Estimator Requirements:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
1-2 years' experience in Quantity Surveying/Estimating role
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Competent in the use of Cost X
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
