Job Description

Gi Group are seeking Side Loader/ FLT Counterbalance Drivers to work for our client based in New Holland (DN19), within their Dispatch department.
Our client has a drive for service and people, setting high standards in the quality of product and the overall operations process, supplying market-leading multi-product solutions including structural timber and bespoke milling services.
Pay rate - £12.51 per hour
Hours of work - (Apply online only)hrs / (Apply online only)hrs Monday to Friday on a rotating shift basis, regular overtime available
Contract type- temporary to permanent, ongoing position
** Own transport will be required due to location **
Purpose of Role:
To assist in the day to day operations of a busy Timber yard. To load and unload vehicles in a safe and time effective manner. Maintenance of interdepartmental communication to ensure cohesive working in order to fulfil customer requirements.
Duties include
* Ensure the safe and damage free loading and unloading of vehicles using a side loader truck
* Moving stock to and from various areas on site
* Picking / marshalling orders
* Stock rotation (ensure old / correct stocks are used to fulfil orders)
* Achieving and maintaining set loading efficiency standards in a safe manner
* Maintaining the Yard in a tidy, organised and structured condition
* Ensure product is clearly labelled up to support the accurate off loading at customers
* Follow customer requests on loading manifests
* Report any incidents and near misses
* Promote health and safety on site, by ensuring visitors wear correct PPE and observe site rules

The above lists of duties are not exhaustive and you may be required to undertake any other duties as and when required by Management.
The successful candidate will have
* Valid FLT Counterbalance or Side Loader license (dates within the last 3 years)
* Team working
