Location: Basildon (Hybrid working)
Duration: 12 month contract
Rate: £79ph UMB (Inside IR35)
Role details:
Our client, a prominent player in the Defence and Security sector, is looking for a Systems Engineer to complete the design, development and integration of networked based security systems for a key strategic product. This role can be based at either their Basildon or Southampton sites with hybrid working opportunities. The initial contract duration is 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing, developing, and integrating network-based security systems for a strategic product
Developing and delivering key integrated networked systems
Assisting with platform integration and testing
Completing lab testing, documentation, and delivery of the systems
Integrating the system onto the platform and validating subsystem inter-operation for customer delivery
Engaging in other aspects of complex systems projects to support long-term business opportunities
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build consensus and deliver project objectives
Job Requirements:
Experience in IT networking, systems integration, firewall management, and network security
Strong understanding of IP Networking, including router, switching, and firewalling
Knowledge of security disciplines within the defence and security sector
Familiarity with the System Engineer life cycle
