Job Title: Graduate Structural Engineer
Location: Manchester
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Graduate Structural Engineer to join our clients innovative and growing engineering team based in Manchester. As part of their team, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience and be involved in a wide range of exciting projects across various sectors. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, analysis, and detailing of structural systems and components for various building and infrastructure projects.
Support senior engineers in the preparation of technical drawings, calculations, and reports.
Participate in site visits and surveys to assess conditions and ensure compliance with design specifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and other engineers.
Contribute to the development and improvement of design processes and procedures.
Assist in preparing project documentation and liaising with clients on project-related matters.
Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Expectations:
Hold a relevant degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering.
A strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software) is desirable, though training will be provided.
A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to take initiative.
A strong desire to work towards professional qualifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer status with the ICE or IStructE).
