Elderly People Mental Health Nurse
Location: On-site, Lancashire area
Employment Type: 3-6 month contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Band 6 day time rate
Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Mental Health Nurse in Lancashire to support elderly patients with mental health needs, particularly those living with dementia.
You will be assessing, diagnosing, and providing treatment for mental health conditions in older adults, and mentoring and supervising junior staff and trainees.
Role Responsibilities:
Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans, ensuring that care remains responsive to their needs.
Provide guidance, training, and support to less experienced team members to promote best practices in dementia care and mental health nursing.
Work with GPs, consultants, and other professionals to ensure care for elderly patients.
Communicate effectively with families and carers, offering advice, reassurance, and support.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date recordsEssential Requirements:
Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC pin.
A post-registration qualification in dementia care.
