Founder John Barbour began supplying oilskins and other garments to protect the growing community of sailors, fishermen and dockers. In 2020, Barbour launched Wax for Life, an overarching name for all of Barbour’s wax services designed to encourage customers to extend the life of their wax garments. Wax for Life includes re-waxing and repairs (first introduced in 1921) and Barbour Re-Loved an upcycling circularity initiative. Each year over 70,000 wax garments are sent back to Barbour globally to be repaired, rewaxed or altered.
Position Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Global Key Accounts Sales Support Coordinator to join our Global Sales Support Team, based at our Head Office in South Shields. This role will be key to providing world class support to all of Barbour’s Wholesale Customers and Global Distributors and is vital for achieving on time, in full deliveries of the forward order books and special collections. To also provide a support service to the sales teams and help the business grow by achieving incremental sales while operating in line with business objectives and the Barbour Values.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Achieve the sales targets by achieving on time, in full delivery of orders.
* Monitor the forward order book for accuracy Work with supply chain & warehouse to deliver product to the customer on time, identifying any issues. Maintain a tidy order book by following the order book management guidelines
* Provide a weekly report on the status of your order book to Global Sales Support Manager.
* Understand your customer processes, delivery windows, warehouse procedures & cancellation policies. Provide customers and account managers with regular order book reporting.
* Provide direct sales support to sales teams.
* Achieve the incremental sales target - understand your customers, working with them to identify best sellers and to obtain repeat orders.
* Attend trade calls with your customers & account managers to plan timely delivery of order books
* Process sales orders and correspondence within specified time limits (KPI's)
Skills and Experience:
* A team player with a desire to help
* Experience of sales / customer service environment
* Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships
* Extremely organised, pro-active planning / time management skills
* Able to make appropriate decisions using own initiative in a time pressured environment
* Ability to contribute to a harmonious team environment, enthusiastic, positive persona with an approachable manner
* Ability to work under pressure, within closely managed targets and deadlines
* Continuous improvement approach
* Commitment to achieving the highest standards in all activities
* Effective Administration skills
