Job Description
Sales Engineer
I'm recruiting an Internal Sales Engineer to join a global engineering company to train up and move into a role as a Field Sales Engineer. The role is initially based in the Glasgow office.
An engineering qualification: HNC or degree in mechanical, chemical, aerospace is required. Previous engineering sales experience is beneficial. This role would suit a junior or trainee sales engineer or a sales engineer looking for the next step to move into technical field sales.
Knowledge of mechanical seals or rotating equipment such as pumps, centrifugal compressors beneficial.
The Role
Working closely with a knowledgeable Senior Sales Engineer
Assisting customers on product applications
Internal sales, quotes, completing orders
Sales of high quality mechanical seals to rotating equipment industry, pump & compressor repair companies
Selling into all industries: chemical, pulp & paper, oil & gas, petro-chem, energy, industrial
Recommend the introduction of new products and services
Initially office based Requirements
Engineering qualification - essential
Local to Glasgow - essential
Sales experience in engineering - highly beneficial
Driving licence - essential
Knowledge of pumps, rotating compressors, rotating equipment - beneficial Benefits
£35K - £40K
Bonus - OTE £50K
