Senior Carbon Manager – London Based

We are seeking a passionate Senior Carbon Manager to join our client, a leading UK Construction Group driving sustainability and carbon reduction in the industry. Working closely with the Head of Sustainability, you will manage embodied carbon data, support design development with low-carbon materials, and play a pivotal role in implementing the organisation’s Net Zero Carbon strategy.

Drive the development and delivery of embodied carbon baselines, utilizing large LCA data sets to support design and project teams.
Lead the implementation of an embodied carbon tool to support project wins, design enhancements, and sustainability training.
Guide teams to meet embodied carbon targets, recommending low-carbon material options and strategies.
Ensure accurate collection, cleansing, and analysis of LCA data, reporting progress towards Net Zero Carbon ambitions.
Engage in research and innovation, leveraging data visualization (e.g., Power BI) to make complex data accessible across all project levels.
Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, from senior management to clients and consultants.Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven expertise in embodied carbon management with strong experience delivering LCAs and sustainability projects in construction.
Proficiency in data analysis, particularly with Power BI and OneClick LCA, and capable of simplifying complex data.
Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills, able to articulate carbon goals to varied audiences.
Relevant degree (Sustainability/Environmental Studies/Geography) and certifications (ISO 14040/14044), with advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
Minimum 5+ years of experience, ideally including training delivery and strategy development for carbon reduction in construction.In return, the successful Senior Carbon Manager will receive:
£60-75k basic salary
28 days annual leave
