Senior Project Manager – Laboratory Fit-Out
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects within laboratory and office environments across Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Cambridgeshire. Role Responsibilities

Comprehensive Project Leadership: Oversee all project phases, from pre-construction through to final handover, ensuring each project meets stringent timelines, budget objectives, and quality expectations. Develop strategic project plans that align with client needs and organisational standards.

Client and Stakeholder Management: Act as the senior point of contact for all client and stakeholder interactions, cultivating positive relationships and ensuring client satisfaction by addressing project requirements, progress updates, and any concerns promptly and professionally.
*
Financial Oversight and Budget Control: Provide thorough financial management across all projects, including detailed budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and cost control. Regularly report financial performance to senior management, ensuring financial targets are met and project profitability is optimised.

Team Leadership and Development: Guide and mentor a multidisciplinary team including Site Managers, Project Coordinators, and support staff. Effectively allocate resources, nurture team capabilities, and uphold high-performance standards within a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Risk Management and Compliance: Conduct in-depth risk assessments, and ensure full compliance with Health and Safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental requirements. Uphold rigorous safety practices across all sites, ensuring adherence to all regulatory guidelines.

Quality Assurance and Control: Implement and monitor robust quality assurance measures, perform regular site audits, and proactively address quality issues. Ensure all project outcomes meet or exceed client expectations and align with industry standards.

Detailed Reporting and Progress Communication: Provide senior management and stakeholders with regular, comprehensive updates on project status, timelines, budgets, and any emerging risks. Ensure clear, data-driven insights to maintain alignment and transparency at all levels.
Candidate Profile

Proven Expertise: Extensive experience in managing high-value commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects, ideally with at least five years in a senior project management role.
*
Financial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale budgets and financial controls for multi-million-pound projects.
*
Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: Strong client and stakeholder management abilities, with a track record of maintaining high standards in client satisfaction and professional relationship management.
*
Leadership and Development Orientation: Proven experience in managing, mentoring, and developing cross-functional project teams, with a focus on optimising team performance.
*
In-Depth Compliance Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety legislation, industry standards, and best practices within the commercial fit-out sector.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in project management software and reporting tools.
*
Relevant Certifications: SMSTS, First Aid, and ideally, a degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
