Job Description
Engage Talent Partners are working exclusively with our client to recruit a Project Manager, based south of Aberdeen.
Our client is an expanding company active in various industries, such as oil and gas, nuclear, and the energy sector. This is an exciting period to join as the business continues to secure high-profile contracts and prepares for ambitious growth in the coming years.
In this role, you will report to the Commercial Manager and lead a multi-disciplinary project team to deliver complex Greenfield and Brownfield projects. Successful candidates will demonstrate adaptability, strong organisational skills and a keen analytical approach in their work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee projects from initial concept through to commissioning, closeout and handover.
* Coordinate and lead internal and external project kick-off meetings.
* Act as the primary client contact, ensuring all needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
* Prepare project profit forecasts and establish resourcing plans.
* Create and manage comprehensive project plans.
* Facilitate design reviews alongside the engineering team.
* Foster a positive team environment within the Project Delivery Group, leading by example.
* Manage budget baselines, approvals and any changes.
* Conduct all required project meetings, including kick-offs, progress updates, design and constructability reviews, as well as HAZID & HAZOP assessments.
* Track and manage man-hour allocations, schedules and work scopes.
* Ensure all project legal requirements are fulfilled.
* Plan and execute project closeout meetings.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in managing complex projects and implementing strong change management practices. Proficiency in project management methodologies, such as Prince2 and Agile, is preferred, along with a PMP qualification. Applicants should possess excellent skills in cost management and stakeholder communication. Familiarity with various construction contracts and an engineering background are advantageous but not essential.
