PRESENTATION OF IPVF – Photovoltaic Institute of Île-de-FranceThe Photovoltaic Institute of Île-de-France, an institute for the energy transition created in 2013, is a scientific and technical center dedicated to the research and development of solar technologies. On its site located in Paris-Saclay, it brings together its own staff, employees of its partners and those of external companies. The IPVF aims to become one of the main global centers for research, innovation and training in the field of energy transition.
The IPVF aims to improve the performance and competitiveness of photovoltaic cells and develop disruptive technologies relying on four levers:
- An ambitious research program;
- The reception of more than 200 researchers and their laboratories;
- A cutting-edge technological platform (8 m²) open to players in the photovoltaic sector, and bringing together more than 000 cutting-edge equipment located in clean rooms;
- A training program mainly based on a master's degree, supervision of doctoral students, and continuing education.
Brief history:
The IPVF was founded in 2013 at the initiative of the French State, EDF, TotalEnergies, Air Liquide, CNRS, Ecole Polytechnique, Horiba and Riber. Bringing together more than 150 researchers, our Paris-Saclay platform is a one-stop shop for all types of deeptech research and innovation.
The IPVF aims to remain:
- A world leader in photovoltaic-related R&D by bringing together the best French teams in the field of research, innovation and industrial production, in partnership with major international institutes, particularly in Europe;
- A leader in the development of photovoltaic technological bricks in line with market trends;
- A reference in sending the most promising R&D concepts for the industry.
To support its growth towards industrial transfer, the IPVF wishes to strengthen its characterization team in the field of opto-electronics. Within the Operations department, the mission will contribute to the excellence of the platform serving research programs.
What we can offer you:
As part of a growing international technology company that places the values of innovation, excellence and agility at the heart of its business, we offer you a working environment that encourages team spirit and promotes training. The diversity of missions, permanent contact with experienced participants within the platform and a dynamic environment equipped with cutting-edge equipment will allow you to express your versatility, your analytical capacity and your desire to participate in the energy transition.
In close collaboration with the head of the characterization division, the opto-electronic technologies pilot will have three main missions:
- Research support mission on opto-electronic technologies:
Be the referent for solar simulators, source meters, quantum yield measurements, flash testers and spectrophotometers. Support researchers in implementing new measurement methods in line with the evolution of research programs. Ensure daily compliance with metrology rules for the quality of measurements.
Be proactive on improving workstations:
Improvement of the ergonomics of workstations (prototyping of parts, software and hardware automation, etc.). Added additional modules on equipment.
- Support for the characterization center on maintaining the level of expertise of the platform:
Ensure the maintenance, calibration and verification of measuring means (routine preventive and curative maintenance operations). Train new users and update the training of already trained users. Manage the documentary corpus and update it regularly (record feedback). Enforce hygiene and safety protocols and rules corresponding to work situations.
- Cross-functional missions:
Contribute to the IPVF collective by responding to requests from different services: services, communication, etc.
With BUT physical measurements training or equivalent, you have knowledge of physical measurement techniques: metrology, instrumentation electronics and spectroscopy. Your rigor, your organization and your communication skills make you an essential contact in your laboratory or your workspace. You are proficient in Office and have some knowledge of programming in Python. You understand technical English and know how to write in French.
