This job is to support the Business Units in the US and globally. Strong technical skills are needed to ensure the security and availability of the systems the Business Units rely on to be profitable and provide good service to our customers.

Job Description:

To undertake proactive maintenance and administration of computer hardware, software and operations tools in support of the delivery of the IT service. To improve system availability with proactive work to avoid outages and performance issues. With particular focus on services maintenance for all infrastructure used by the Operations. This includes operating system, LINUX, HPUX and AIX. The operations tools examples HP Operations Manager/Open View Operations and HP Insight Manager etc. Engages with project management to confirm that infrastructure components meet the acceptance criteria and are meeting the required standard. Good team player and always maintain relationship with 1st and 3rd level support functions. Involves in vulnerability and risk management.

Requeriments:

  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent engineering experience is required

  
  


• 
  

  5+ years’ experience in Unix system administration and infrastructure under data center environments

  
  


• 
  

  Experience in shell scripting skill and with wide exposure to automation initiatives

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of Veritas VCS, Volume Manger and file system

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of Standard IT procedures: Problem management, Change Management

  
  


• 
  

  Strong teamwork and collaborative work ethic

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work under pressure when need arises

  
  


• 
  

  Strong performance and troubleshooting skills
