About the Role:
As a MEICA Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (MEICA) engineering at a Water Treatment Plant. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, manage projects, and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our water treatment assets.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing MEICA strategies aligned with company goals and industry best practices.
Managing the complete life cycle of MEICA projects, from initial planning and design to implementation, commissioning, and handover
Support all Programme Managers, Operation Leads and Procurement to achieve a MEICA procurement strategy
Regularly meet with Regional Delivery Leads to ensure MEICA is being delivered within a consistent and timely manner
Leading and motivating a team of MEICA engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
Possessing a deep understanding of MEICA systems and equipment used in water treatment plants, including pumps, motors, instrumentation, control systems, and automation technologies
Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of MEICA systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards
Be able to provide progress reports to senior management and stakeholders
Chair meetings to demonstrate any risks within MEICA have been reviewed and mitigated
Managing the MEICA budget, forecasting expenses, and ensuring efficient resource allocation
Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations, industry best practices, and company policies
Be fully conversant with all MEICA subcontractor contract conditions as well as any potential risks that are associated with their methodology
Take full responsibility that the project has no H&S and Environmental incidents
What we are looking for:
A proven track record as a MEICA Manager or similar role within the water treatment industry
A strong understanding of MEICA engineering principles, standards, and best practices relevant to the water industry
Experience managing complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
Knowledge of the construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and training
A commitment to safety and quality, with a focus on continuous improvement
