Job Description
A great opportunity has opened up for a Buyer working with a large Civil Engineering Contractor on a large range of ASTI onshore projects in Scotland.
This is an exciting time to join the company with years of secure work ahead of them.
Duties Include:
* Fulfilling requisitions on behalf of the business
* Main POC for the civils team working on ASTI onshore projects, to provide support, resolve queries and offer advice when required
* Management of sub-contract procurement process from initial engagement to sub-contract award
* Ensuring internal spend compliance
* Sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations
* Conducting tender processes for both material and sub-contracts
* Supplier meetings and engagement
* Creation of Supply Chain Strategies
* Management of Procurement Schedules
Requirements:
* Experience of civils or construction industry
* Highly results-orientated (proven track record of exceeding targets)
* Strong stakeholder management skills
* Knowledge of procurement ERP and e-tendering systems (e.g. Oracle, Jaggaer or
similar)
* Knowledge of the Subcontract Procurement Process
* Supply Chain Management Experience
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
