About the Role
Fairmead are working closely with a valued client to recruit an experienced Site Manager for an industrial unit project in Wellingborough. This role offers an immediate start and the opportunity to transition to a permanent position. The successful candidate will oversee key site activities, including groundworks, kerbing, foundations, and paving, ensuring the project progresses efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily site operations, ensuring work is carried out safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality.
* Oversee groundworks, kerbing, foundation works, paving, and other site activities.
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure seamless execution of tasks.
* Monitor the progress of steel frame installations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
* Conduct regular site inspections to maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Liaise with clients, project managers, and stakeholders, providing clear updates on project milestones.
* Identify and resolve potential issues quickly to avoid delays and ensure project continuity.
* Maintain accurate records of site activities, materials, and progress.
* Enforce robust health and safety practices, fostering a safe and productive site environment.
* Drive efficiency and excellence throughout all phases of the project.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Extensive experience in site management, particularly on projects involving groundworks, steel frames, and new builds.
* Proven expertise in managing foundation work, kerbing, and paving within industrial or commercial construction projects.
* Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to oversee multiple teams and tasks.
* Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, with a commitment to maintaining compliance.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
* Relevant certifications, including SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work.
* A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and timely delivery.
