Job Description
We are currently looking for a dynamic Assistant Site Managers with a Social Housing background to join our ever-growing team here at Connollys!
With our rapid growth and continued development, we are looking to hire hardworking Assistant Site Managers based in and around the North West areas.
You will be based on site within the North West area(s) including Oldham, Manchester, Wigan, Bolton and be required to help deliver an organised and professional turn around on schemes such as:
* Kitchen & Bathroom Refurbishments
* Replacement of Windows and Doors
* External / Cyclical / FRA
* Re-Roofing
* Planned Maintenance
*Previous experience in this kind of work is essential – either trade background or as Trainee/ Assistant Site Manager*
*Previous experience in the Social Housing sector is ideal but not essential*
Your Role:
As Assistant Site Manager, the main purpose of this role is to help the Site Manager and take some responsibility for the refurbishment projects from inception to completion.
Your main duties will include but not be limited to:
* Help site managers in developing practical work schedules and procuring construction supplies
* Delegating tasks to team members
* Required to prepare progress reports, monitor programmes and sign off quality control documents
* Be aware of cost and managing delegated budgets, working closely with Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to optimise the profitability of projects
* Help Co-ordinate all Team Members and update work objectives for teams and individuals
* Plan activities and agree work methods to achieve objectives
* Working with the Site Manager to allocate work and evaluate teams, individuals, and self against objectives; ensuring that no task is beyond the team member's capabilities
* Helping to ensure that induction is rigorously carried out and records completed
* Helping to ensure that all tradesmen have the appropriate material and equipment, to be able to achieve their designated tasks
* Ensuring that the site environment is satisfactory and safe
* Responsible for the quality of all work carried out on the site whether undertaken by staff or contractors
About you:

* Decision-making ability
* Commercial awareness
* Ability to motivate others
* Teamworking skills
* Good knowledge of building methods and regulations
Ideally, you will hold an in date SSSTS or SMSTS certificate, First Aid at work certificate and Asbestos Awareness certificate
