Master Technician - Peterborough - Attractive package
ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Master Technician for our leading client based in the Peterborough area.
Car & LCV Diagnostic Master Technician
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Car and Van Diagnostic Master Technician at our clients workshop in Peterborough.
Reporting and supporting the Service Manager and Workshop Controller, the role of Master Technician will be required to take full responsibility for their area of work and will be happy to work unsupervised on all makes and models of customer’s vehicles. Although flexibility to adapt to the requirements of each day are highly important, a Mercedes-Benz background would be a distinct advantage.
It is essential that a Master Technician with our client is highly skilled in fault diagnosis, working on complex repairs, and diagnostic repairs. In addition, this role forms part of their service team, and therefore you will also be required to support and act as a mentor when required.
You will be joining a business that is dynamic, forward thinking and highly motivated to provide one of the best customer experiences in the Cambridgeshire area; as well as an employer who is both supportive and invested in providing fantastic opportunities for their people be successful.
You will be part of a team of highly qualified technicians and your main duties will include:
* Identifying and rectifying in depth diagnostic repairs.
* Carrying out service, maintenance and repairs of all types of vehicles.
* Ensuring all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises.
* Liaising with the parts department as per the requirements of each job.
* Ensuring Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are always adhered to.
* Conforming to all customer site requirements & regulations.
* Ensuring that all relevant documentation is completed in a timely manner, to include clocking, completion of all job cards, and service sheets filled out.
Candidate Requirements:
* A relevant technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualified technician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles.
* Higher level diagnostics training or experience in a similar role.
* Valid Driving License.
* The ability to work within any guidelines.
* The ability to work under pressure and meet with strict deadlines.
* An individual who has the ability to actively seek solutions to problems.
* Someone who can work as part of a team.
* Good verbal communication skills.
* Excellent customer care skills.
* Flexibility in all areas including the ability to take on a wide range of tasks, the hours worked, and general manner and approach.
* An awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
Although this is a full-time role, paid on an hourly rate, our client prides themselves as being a flexible employer, and therefore will discuss, and agree, working hours with each applicant separately, as we have a range of different packages available.
