Job Description
An opportunity has arisen due to expansion and growth of the commercial HVAC gas department within the business and we are seeking to recruit a suitable person to manage and continue development of the department. The job is challenging, rewarding and is suited to any candidate whom seeks this within their job. The role is primarily gas related however it may cross over to some air handling, comfort cooling etc on occassion includng working with inter-departmental managers or engineers. Employee numbers within the Company are circa 40 and department wise under 10 staff members.
MCL Energy is an established provide of HVAC support services and has operated for over 40-years in a geographic region mainly Yorkshire & Humber, Teeside, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. Our client base includes leisure centres, schools, hospitals, offices, warehousing and production sites in the public and private sector.
Job Summary
* Strategic business planning and development of operational plans and budgets.
* Leadership and management of Commercial Gas Team.
* Establishment of best practice.
* Communication & liaison with other parts of the business.
* Development of good relationships with both client & staff.
Whilst you will be expected to travel to meet clients and engineering staff, our offices are based near Mansfield. As a guide we would envisage some hybrid working with a mixture of office, site and home included.
Main Functions & Duties:
* Analysing and evaluating service data, implementing improvements to service levels.
* Provision of help and advice to operational staff.
* Help to identify training needs.
* Efficient use of IT systems
* Management of WIP (Work in progress), agreement of overtime and other costs.
* Provision of quotes.
* Generate recharge [when applicable] works through identifying crucial areas of defect
* Manage work planner (forward maintenance scheduler) with Service Delivery Manager to ensure client needs are met with effective, efficient labour resource planning.
* Assist with site Risk Assessments in tandem with Engineering Compliance Manager
* Working to strict Health & Safety guidelines and legislation
* Controlled use of contractors.
* Ensure permits to work are monitored maintained and implemented for all daily maintenance and project tasks.
* Improve profitability of contracts.
* Work closely with the Business Development Team
* Create alliances with other providers. [strategic partners or subcontractors].
