Job Description
Role: Mechanical Project Manager
Location: South East London
Business hiring: Major MEP Contractor that focusses on major projects, anything from educational through to life science and mission critical projects valued between £5m - £20m.
Salary: Up to £90k plus package OR £450pd
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Overview:
* Support the delivery of the business vision, goals, and strategy.
* Lead a professional approach to all aspects of the project delivery.
* Implementation of effective production on sites.
* Maintain high standard installations.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Project Management: Lead HVAC projects from planning through to handover, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
* Budget & Cost Control: Develop, monitor, and report on project budgets, working to minimise costs without compromising quality or safety.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and support site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve project goals efficiently and collaboratively.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on project goals and timelines.
* Technical Oversight: Review designs, specifications, and installations to ensure compliance with technical standards and project requirements.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce health and safety standards on-site, conducting regular audits and maintaining documentation.
* Risk Management: Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions as required.
* Progress Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress updates, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and adjustments to timelines or budgets.
* Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks at key stages of each project, ensuring all work meets regulatory and company standards.
Experience and Qualifications
At least 5 years’ experience in building services within the residential sector.
HNC/HND

* Presentation and written communication skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Planning and organisation
* Experience in Outlook, Word and Excel
