As an innovative company we deliver high-quality services to our customers in the Energy, Water and Rail industries, We’re looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised, Delivery Manager who will be responsible for the management of our calibration team in our Energy business unit..
So what’s involved
The Energy Business unit are looking for a Delivery Manager to head up the growth across our calibration team, developing with current, new clients and business opportunities to build on an already established stream of works, focusing across the Southern and Midlands team. Working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure current contracts are meeting the correct requirements, supporting with recruitment along with maximising revenue and profit through an effective deployment of labour, man management skills and development of the team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities -
Identify and develop new opportunities for the department through business relationships.
Manage the delivery of services and contracts across our main customers, taking responsibility for performance, resources, health and safety, quality and profitability.
Support in the preparation of tender and bid documents for the Energy Business Unit opportunities.
Liaise with clients ensuring positive constructive relationships based on long term partnerships.
Develop site specific policies and operational procedures which fit with the company’s value framework and match the requirements of the client.
Manage and develop staff, ensuring a positive employment culture, effective training strategies and high retention levels.
Monitor performance and provide formal monthly reports to the client confirming compliance with the requirements of the contract and identifying issues, risks and opportunities.
Provide the highest standard of Health and Safety by supervision, good management practices, inspections and monitoring.
Manage contract budgets in a cost effective manner, ensuring value for money is achieved across the business unit.
Carry out accident investigations to both company and client time scales and report to line manager and HSEQ Manager as appropriate.
Ensure a proactive approach to HSE requirements, ensuring staff have the correct PPE, it is used as required and is in good order.
Report on P&L performance on a monthly and YTD basis, taking full accountability to deliver to budget, and actively recover WIP in line with timescales.
Prepare risk assessments and method statements as required.
EC&I background within the Energy Business would be beneficial but not essential.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements -
Previous experience within the C&I sector would benefit all applicants.
Proven experience in a managerial role
Previous experience within the power sector, would benefit all applicants.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Excellent project management abilities, with a track record of successful project completion.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.
