Zachary Daniels are working exclusively on a Shipping Manager vacancy for a high growth fashion brand based in Manchester. We're looking for a Shipping Manager to oversee our shipping operations, ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of products to our customers and retailers.

Role Overview:

The Shipping Manager will manage all aspects of shipping and fulfilment, including coordinating with logistics partners, optimising processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires strong organisational skills and experience in logistics and team leadership.

The ideal candidate will already be operating within a Freight or Shipping role and have experience of bringing stock into the UK from overseas manufacturing factories.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Shipping Operations: Oversee daily shipping activities, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. Obtaining and negotiating quotes from freight agents for road, sea, air and rail shipments. (FCL/LCL)
• Team Leadership: Lead and train the shipping team to optimize efficiency and ensure high standards.
• Logistics Coordination: Work with 3PLs and carriers to secure shipping rates and reliable delivery services. To organise the shipment of all import orders; liaising with freight forwarders, suppliers and internal teams.
• Customer Service: Address shipping issues or inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Reporting & Analysis: Track and report on shipping performance, costs, and customer satisfaction.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and safety standards. Preparing all relevant documentation and informing relevant internal teams.

Requirements:

• Experience in shipping/logistics, ideally in the apparel industry.
• Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems. Strong proficiency in MS Excel is a must have.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in online and wholesale order management
• Be able to work onsite 5 days per week
