Who You Are
You are a hands-on leader with expertise in compliance management, with a dedicated focus on ensuring the safety of colleagues, contractors, and residents through stringent adherence to health and safety legislation. You possess in-depth knowledge of statutory duties, obligations, official standards, and best practices related to Gas Servicing, Legionella, Asbestos, Electrical, and other key mechanical services. As a guiding force in establishing safe working practices across the organization, you have the ability to advise senior management on the implications of existing and new health and safety legislation, and can offer strategic recommendations and action plans within your remit. Your leadership skills are fundamental to supporting and managing the assets compliance team, ensuring accountability, performance monitoring, and fostering a cohesive work culture.
What the Job Involves
The role involves leading the compliance agenda for the organization, ensuring all statutory duties, obligations, and best practice standards are met regarding Gas Servicing, Legionella, Asbestos, Electrical, and other mechanical services. You will act as the lead representative in compliance matters and ensure adherence to current health and safety legislation. Responsibilities include supporting colleagues to establish and maintain safe working practices, conducting audits and inspections, delivering health and safety training, and advising on the development of action plans for legislative compliance. You will undertake reviews of health and safety documents, address inquiries, and report on audit findings to support improvement plans. Furthermore, you will participate in budget development for assets and provide leadership to the compliance team, monitoring their workload and promoting team spirit across the portfolio.
