Job Description
Wiring / Project Engineer (Overhead Lines) – UK LOCATIONS – up t0 £55,000 circa
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is already an experienced Wiring / Project Engineer who is looking for a career move, working for one of the UK’s foremost construction and infrastructure firms, specialising in delivering some of the nation’s most intricate and vital infrastructure projects spanning many sectors for both public and private clients.
You will play a major part working within the OHL team operating within the Energy and Water sectors and will have a proven track record of delivering Electrical and Civil works in both live and dead environments.

Wiring / Project Engineer (Overhead Lines) – Responsibilities
Assisting in the procurement of plant and equipment for project preparation
Overseeing the completion of OHL scope of work and associated documentation
Providing technical guidance to design teams, project managers, and engineers regarding OHL solutions and their feasibility
Promoting a safety-first and environmentally conscious mindset among staff and subcontractors
Reviewing and implementing safe work systems for mechanical and electrical activities, including risk assessments, method statements, and contingency plans
Supporting the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of OHL installation programs and activities
Serving as the OHL coordinator to manage electrical safety onsite
Assisting in the production of OHL and O&M documentation
Coordinating and overseeing subcontractor RAMs reviews
Managing defect resolution and corrective actions
Wiring / Project Engineer (Overhead Lines) – Requirements
MUST have proven experience in Overhead Line Projects ranging from 132KV to 400KV
A Engineering qualification (preferred).
Relevant authorisations from DNO, NG, or SSEN (preferred)
Capability to support roles related to OHL asset installations, including but not limited to earthing and busbar connections
