Job Description
On behalf of our client based at Seaton Carew, we are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to manage the mechanical scope for all UK-based projects.
You will provide essential support to ongoing maintenance and operations, particularly within an ageing plant environment. The primary focus will be on delivering project requirements aligned with KPI’s and addressing escalated equipment failures.
This is a full time, permanent position.
Key responsibilities:
Overseeing mechanical components, including vessels, machinery, and piping, and ensuring all technical specifications are met
Managing contractors and vendors for mechanical works, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines
Conducting risk assessments, such as HAZOP studies, to minimise potential hazards and improve plant safety
Swiftly resolving mechanical failures and developing robust maintenance strategies to enhance reliability and performance
Collaborating with internal teams to drive operational improvements and project advancements
Demonstrating a successful track record in delivering projects within regulatory frameworks, such as COMAH and PSSR
Requirements:
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
Expertise in regulations such as COMAH, DSEAR, and CDM
Project management experience in chemical manufacturing or process industries
