MODEM SYSTEM HARDWARE ENGINEER

New contract opportunity available in Portsmouth for a Hardware Engineer to join a Modem System Product team

• 3 days a week on-site in Portsmouth
• Initial 12-month contract
• £75ph via Umbrella
• 37 hours per week
• 1 stage interview
• SC clearance required

WHAT WILL THE HARDWARE ENGINEER BE DOING?

You will be working as part of a team to develop a specialised satellite modem hardware for secure and resilient communications links. The main tasks and responsibilities for the role include:

• User needs capturing
• Requirements analysis and design response at sub-system and module levels
• Supporting through procurement, manufacture and integration phases
• Acceptance testing (and fault diagnosis) at module and integrated unit levels & environmental qualification testing

WE NEED THE HARDWARE ENGINEER TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING…

• A broad range of experience with mixed-signal (RF/analogue and digital) electronics design
• Experience in designing to meet Military-level design and test standards (Mil-Std 810) at both circuit board and unit level
• Experience in designing to meet the regulatory environment related to achieving CE/UKCA marks on end products (e.g. RoHS/REACH/EN62368),
• An active SC is required for the role
