Director of Software Engineering (IOT industry sector is essential)

Are you an experienced Software Engineering Leader looking to take on your next big challenge?

At Burns Sheehan we partner with a number of well known & reputable Private Equity houses and help their portfolio's to grow and reach their potential. One in particular we have worked with closely are now looking to add to their current ream. This role will be responsible for defining and implementing software strategy, overseeing the engineering department, guiding the development of software solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of software development processes and a proven track record of managing engineering teams and culture.

Leadership and the ability to manage up to the C-Suite and down to your wider teams will be integral in this role, whilst the tech team will consist of roughly 30 people on site there is also a similar number of off shore resource who you will oversee.

Experience within the IoT industry (e.g. SIMs/eSIM, TelCo Operators. M2M, networking) would be highly beneficial. Also, experience in Microsoft Azure / .NET / React, AKS technologies utilising Infrastructure as Code best practices. Relevant experience should include use of microservices, auto-scaling and cloud service cost management
