Requirements

• A relevant degree, along with a UK PGCE or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), is mandatory.
• Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service is a must.
• At least 3 months of teaching experience in the UK.
• Familiarity with the national curriculum is essential.
• A genuine passion for history and humanities education.
• Display confidence balanced with humility.
• Kind, compassionate, and considerate, with an awareness of international contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver well-organised lessons tailored to the various abilities of students and aligned with the curriculum.
• Utilise diverse teaching strategies and resources to engage all learners.
• Inspire enthusiasm for history and encourage students to reach their full potential.
• Provide meaningful feedback to support student learning and adjust teaching methods as needed.
• Analyse and interpret historical data to inform decisions and conclusions.
• Organise and maintain historical records, documents, and artefacts, ensuring their preservation and accessibility.
• Create educational and outreach initiatives to engage students and the public in the importance of history and the conservation of historical materials.
