Job Description
CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician, to join an independent diagnostic laboratory in the animal health industry, at their site based in Cambridge, on a permanent basis.

Our client is a well established, independent diagnostic laboratory providing services to veterinary practices across the UK and worldwide.
Location:
This role is located in Cambridge and is site based.
Role:
Performing laboratory tests of various types, to provide high quality and reliable results for reporting to clients under the overall supervision of the Head of Department.
Sample reception and identify and prepare samples for analysis.
Analysis of samples using RIA/ELISA, PCR and Biochemistry analysers.
Use of the Matrix LIMS system and data entry.
Maintenance and correct use of laboratory Equipment.
Preparation of reagents and reception of stock and reagents.
General laboratory housekeeping.
Assist with method validation.
Environmental/temperature monitoring.
Adherence to written Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Controls Health & Safety rules and radioactive procedures as defined by the Environment Agency.
Your Background:
Qualification or experience in a scientific environment would be an advantage.
Good understanding of the important elements of laboratory diagnostic testing.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
