Job Description
TEACHING PERSONNEL PAYS TO SCALE FOR ALL LONG-TERM CONTRACTS**
Teaching Personnel are working with an outstanding secondary school in the Small Heath area of Birmingham, who are searching for a full-time qualified Science teacher. Our partnered secondary school are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join them starting April 2024. The school thrive off having state-of-the-art facilities, as well as exceptional department resources. There also is progression opportunities to become a permanent member of staff in the future.
The ideal candidate will be QTS qualified and have experience working with class sizes of up to 30 students. They will also have experience planning and organising lessons that are engaging and follow the curriculum specification.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE
UK Teacher Qualification with QTS (or NQT).
DBS certification or willingness to obtain one.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in science or a similar field.
Class control and behaviour management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching classes of up to 30 pupils.
Have vast knowledge and understanding of the Science curriculum.
A vast knowledge on SEN support.
Assess and monitor students progress across the academic year.
Encourage and motivate the learning of the pupils.
Prepare and implement lessons to a high standard.
