Job Description
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Northampton
Hours: 39 hours per week, term time only
Salary: £18,000+ (TBC on successful application and experience)
Contract: Temporary with the potential for Permanent appointment, September start
Are you a creative individual who enjoys promoting a love of learning? Do you have experience with working in a SEND environment and looking for a new challenge? Most importantly, are you someone who can help inspire learners and strive to provide a positive experience of education?
If yes, we are looking for you! We have an exciting opportunity in a growing SEND residential setting. This state-of-the-art independent school caters to children aged 7-18 with a range of needs including Autism, moderate to sever learning difficulties, speech, language and communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviour. Now the first students have settled in, they’re looking to expand the team and provide even more support for future students!
Requirements:
• CACHE/NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning in the Classroom or similar.
• Experience in SEND setting or supporting SEN learners
• Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
• A commitment to putting the child first and treating them as an individual.
• A positive and creative approach to meeting pupils’ individual needs.
