Job Description
Our client, a prominent figure in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking an Occupational Health Technician to join their team in Rochester on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing health surveillance such as spirometry, skin assessments, and audiometry
Conducting vision screenings
Measuring blood pressure, height, weight, and calculating BMI
Maintaining clear and accurate documentation of assessments
Supporting Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments and workstation evaluations
Contributing to health promotion initiatives and updating the OH web page
Covering the front of house function during holidays
Supporting Occupational Health Advisers in routine health surveillance under supervision
Job Requirements:
Understanding of confidentiality in occupational health
Awareness of Health and Safety law
Experience in occupational health
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
IT literate with proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets
Good time management abilities
Awareness of the limits of own competence and the ability to refer to Occupational Health Advisers when necessary
Desirable Skills:
Experience with the OPAS G2 database
Level 3 Certificate for Occupational Health Technicians or an equivalent qualification
Familiarity with occupational health and wellbeing issues
Ability to carry out DSE assessments
