Job Description
Job Purpose:
To assist in the delivery of an effective national water hygiene service to ensure City Facilities Management (UK) Ltd meets its statutory responsibilities and provides safe working environments for employees, clients and those affected by our undertaking.
Key Accountabilities
To work with Water Hygiene Team ensuring all checks are completed within the required timescales
To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with the City and colleagues
To attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills are kept up to date with current Legislation.
To work with City and colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
At all times ensure priority is given for the Health and Safety of colleagues, contractors and members of the public whilst carrying out job related tasks.
Adhere to all City FM and company policy and processes.
On arrival to communicate with site management explaining reason for visit and work to be carried out.
Carry out bi-annual review of Stores
Carry out and complete Retail site specific Legionella Control Measure audits & reports.
Audit Sec 5 of the Compliance folder.
Monitor/ Audit Handypersons water related task completion and recording of, including action taken where required.
Monitor HVAC water related (L8) task completion
Ensure all reports are completed within the required timeframes and passed to the relevant teams including Retail, National Teams, Assets and Business Support
Monitor Refrigeration water related (L8) task completion.
Monitor and record appropriate hot and cold temperatures.
Inspect cold water storage tanks completing any necessary paperwork.
Appropriately sample as risk assessed CWST’s, cold outlets and hot water systems.
Monitor samples and analyse results.
Service cold water drinking dispensers Bi-annually documented in Sec 5
Visual inspection of salt based exchange water softening equipment.
To carry out the cleaning and chlorination of cold water storage tanks and their associated down systems as and when required.
That the cleaning and chlorination task is generally undertaken outside normal trading hours to minimise any disruption to trading.
To ensure correct paperwork is completed during site visits.
Ensure any remedial work required relating to ACoP L8 or Water Regulations is reported through company process and procedures.
Ensure scheduled PPM’s are closed down on completion and on time.
Ensure updates are provided on a regular basis to Water Hygiene Supervisor
To ensure correct documentation is completed during site visits.
To order water hygiene spares, consumables, cleaning chemicals and replacement equipment in line with company policies and procedures
Carry out ALS site visits and appropriate tasks:
Carry out cold water storage tank inspection and sampling
Audit water related compliance tasks
Report any CWST remedial work required through company process.
Raise jobs appropriately through City FM Helpdesk as and when required.
Support on site colleagues by advising where service to client can be improved.
Assist nightshift colleagues during periods of holiday and sickness or other absence as and when required.
Work alongside and support other dayshift colleagues as and when required throughout the UK.
Undertake any additional works as requested by the National Water Hygiene Manager or Supervisor.
Undertake any other duties which contribute towards meeting the objectives of general Stores and our clients Logistical Support site operations of which the water hygiene team are part of.
