About the Company:
Our client is a well-established Fit Out Contractor with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, recognized for quality and innovation across London and beyond. They’re looking for a skilled Designer to join their dynamic team, bringing expertise in one or more of these areas: Raised Access Flooring, Partitioning, Drylining, or Suspended Ceilings.
About the Role:
As a Designer, you’ll be integral to the design process, creating precise, efficient solutions to meet project timelines and budgets. Working with a collaborative team, you’ll help ensure all materials are scheduled accurately and projects stay on track.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the technical team to develop detailed drawings for interior fit-outs, focusing on flooring, partitions, or ceilings based on your area of expertise.
Participate in client meetings to understand design briefs and bring creative, buildable solutions to life.
Provide valuable input on modern construction techniques, focusing on efficiency, buildability, and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, including other trade designers, and occasionally visit production facilities to assess feasibility.
Prepare all necessary design documentation, from drawings and technical submissions to schedules.
Monitor design progress, reporting back to the Design Manager, and making adjustments as needed to meet project requirements.
Maintain clear records and documentation to track progress and anticipate potential changes.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure the highest design standards.
Support the tender process by contributing to design budgets, technical reviews, and initial design outlines.Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field (preferred)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in one or more of the following: Raised Access Flooring, Partitioning, Drylining, or Suspended Ceilings
Proficiency in CAD, Revit, Inventor, or SketchUp
Strong understanding of interior construction techniques and materials
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
