Electrical Operations/Project Manager – (Water Industry)
Our client is a rapidly growing and dynamic company known for our expertise in electrical design, installation, and commissioning within the commercial and industrial sectors, with a strong focus on the Water Industry. With over 30 years of combined industry experience, we pride ourselves on delivering projects with reliability, professionalism, and an enthusiastic approach. The office is in Portsmouth, serving the entire South Coast of the UK.
Electrical Operations/Project Manager
Portsmouth (with site visits across the South Coast, UK)
Salary:
£50,000 - £55,000 per year, plus benefits
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
* Develop comprehensive project scopes, objectives, and deliverables. Create detailed project plans and coordinate resources to manage timelines effectively.
Technical Oversight:
* Provide expert technical guidance on electrical systems design and compliance for water facilities, ensuring projects meet safety and regulatory standards.
Budget Management:
* Prepare and oversee project budgets, monitor expenses, and report on financial performance to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Team Leadership:
* Lead and mentor project teams, facilitating effective communication among clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Quality Assurance:
* Conduct thorough inspections and ensure projects comply with specifications and quality standards.
Risk Management:
* Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage any issues that arise during project execution.
Documentation and Reporting
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular status updates to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management within the Water Industry or a similar field.
* Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, BS7671 standards, and water industry specifications.
* Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Tradify, Simpro).
* Strong leadership, communication, and people skills.
* PMP certification is a plus but not mandatory.
* Valid ECS/CSCS card.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Holds a full UK driving license.
* Demonstrated experience in project management or project engineering.
* Solid background as an experienced electrician with managerial expertise.
* Proven history in the water or industrial electrical sectors.
* Resides within a commutable distance to Portsmouth.
Benefits Include:
* Competitive salary of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum.
* 28 days of annual leave (including bank holidays).

Full-time, Monday to Friday
Experience Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years in Project Management and Project Engineering.
* Minimum 4 years in Electrical Engineering.
* At least 3 years of experience in the Water Industry.
