Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the North Okanagan while extending compassionate patient care. Providing locum support to our team at VJH, you’ll collaborate with specialized departments, including Anesthesia, General Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Radiology, Urology, and Oncology. You’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating tertiary referrals to Kelowna.

Caring for acutely ill individuals and their loved ones is a key aspect of what we do here, highlighting the need for your remarkable clinical and communication skills. Working with fellow healthcare professionals requires teamwork. We rely on electronic physician documentation to ensure clear plans, smooth patient handovers, and efficient rounding.

Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) is a 196-bed facility and a beacon of healthcare excellence in Vernon, British Columbia. Serving as the primary hospital in the North Okanagan region, VJH provides comprehensive acute care along with advanced medical services and technology.

The unveiling of the Polson Tower marked a significant expansion, boosting outpatient services and introducing specialized units for maternity, pediatrics, intensive and coronary care. The hospital’s future looks even brighter with the planned construction of a 44 single-occupancy room psychiatric unit by 2029.

Nearly 1,800 dedicated personnel cater to approximately 93,720 individuals, including those from First Nations and Métis communities. VJH’s wide-ranging services highlight a deep commitment to innovation, excellence, and compassionate care.

Estimated Remuneration: You’ll be compensated on the APP clinical service contract’s hourly rate of $187.38, plus MOCAP level 2.
