Directeur de projet construction

We are looking for a "Directeur de projet construction" for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Nancy (France)

Start Date: August 2024

Contract Duration: 16 months

Qualification and Experience Required:

• Proven experience as an industrial construction project manager
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles
• Good knowledge of quality, health and safety standards
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Good knowledge of construction and project management software
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Team player with leadership skills
• PMP certification or equivalent certification will be a plus
• Notion in commission would be a plus
• Fluent in English and French
• An excellent Construction Project Manager is very familiar with construction methods and procedures and is able to coordinate a team of professionals from different disciplines to achieve the best results.
• The ideal candidate will have analytical skills and good organizational skills.
• The goal will be to ensure that all projects are delivered on time in accordance with requirements while staying within budget.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine project specifications
• Negotiate contracts with external contractors to obtain cost-effective agreements
• Determine the resources required (labor, equipment, materials) from start to finish, paying attention to budget limitations
• Plans all construction operations and schedules intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met
• Purchase equipment and materials, and monitor inventory to quickly manage stock-outs
• Recruits contractors and other staff and assigns responsibilities
• Evaluate project progress and write detailed reports
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, and report issues
