Lead Engineer - Utilities, wastewater treatment

We are looking for a Lead Engineer - Utilities, Wastewater Treatment for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia / Paris (Remote)

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 3-4 years

Profile

• Lead designer on large and medium sized projects, responsible for planning & managing the delivery of the design elements of the project (including resource time and cost), either alone or through multi-discipline project teams.
• Knowledge about Utilities and wastewater treatment.
• Offshore experience.
• 10 years post-graduate experience in the stated discipline, at least 7 of which must have been in the relevant industry on projects relevant to the type of projects being supported by this agreement, and with demonstrable ability to operate at the level defined.
• BSc/BEng qualified in the stated discipline. Chartered Engineer and Member of the relevant institution.
• Demonstrate leadership of a team of 5 or more engineers, providing managerial and technical support to the team.
• Able to take on significant elements of the detailed design personally.
• Capable of working on their own initiative, with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

The tasks to be performed by the specialists are:

• Discipline managers (no team to manage yet but there will be later).
• Work with the client's core team and under the supervision of the Project Director, already involved in the project.
• Monitoring and validation of the ongoing FEED optimization by the Design contractor.
• Technical clarifications with bidders (EPCI contractors).
• Analysis of technical bids, TBT (Technical Bidding Tabulation).
• Supervision and validation of the engineering detail design of the EPCI contractors after award.

Later, there will be supervision on yards, onshore sites, and offshore sites.
