Chiesi Global Manufacturing Division

Chiesi Group has three production plants: Parma (Italy); Blois-La Chaussée-Saint-Victor (France); Santana de Parnaíba (Brazil). The plants produce a total of over 110 million units per year.

The production plant in Parma covers a total area of more than fifteen thousand square meters and it is the strategic hub for the production and distribution of our products, being an international supply center that exports to more than 80 countries. The Parma plant produces solid medicinal products, such as tablets and inhaled dry powders; inhalation solutions and suspensions, either pressurized or sterile single-dose vials; vials of sterile suspension for endotracheal administration; liquid forms such as drops, syrups and nasal sprays.

Santana produces pressurized solutions and suspensions for inhalant therapy (MDIs) and supplies both domestic market and Group’s Affiliates and exports to licensees and distributors. Blois specializes in Dry Powder Inhalers and final assembly stages of the Metered-Dose Inhalers (MDIs), supplies Group’s Affiliates and distributes directly to clients at a local level and in export markets.

Who we are looking for

Purpose

The person will join the Project and Portfolio Management Unit, part of Corporate Strategic Product Industrialization Department within the Global Manufacturing Division. The Technical & Business Project Manager will lead Products Technology Transfer, New Product Introduction and Lifecycle Management Projects for the Global Manufacturing Division.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the Management preparing and presenting the business case for approval and to finalize the agreements necessary to kick off projects;
• Ensure that the internal/external stakeholder requirements are captured in the project scope and properly translated into project deliverables;
• Ensure Project execution is aligned with product strategy;
• Kick Off the Cross Functional Project Team and prepare detailed planning, project budget (cost and effort) and risk register;
• Lead the Project Team in the Execution, Monitor and Control of the Project, assigning, coordinating and tracking tasks;
• Report project progresses and escalate risks/issues to the Management;
• Report project cost and effort;
• Collect and analyze change of scope requests;
• Integrate environmental sustainability topics in the project input collection;
• Collaborate and interact with other company functions (R&D, Global Marketing, Alliance Management), according to global processes;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and share project lessons learning with the organization;
• Promote inclusive and collaborative approach for cross-functional global activities.

Experience Required

• At least 5-8 years' experience in a similar role in the pharmaceutical Industry at least in one of the following areas: Industrialization & Tech Transfer, Manufacturing Strategy & Operations, R&D late stage development, Technical Project Management;
• Previous experience on respiratory products and/or combo products will be considered as a plus.

Education

Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Technology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent.

Languages

Fluent English (both written and spoken)

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project;
• Knowledge of Project Management Tools;
• PMP Certification will be considered as a plus.

• Ability to motivate, coordinate and guide multidisciplinary, international and multicultural teams;
• Promoting feedback culture and open to dialogue;
• Strong communications and presentation skills;
• Ability to recognize multiple stakeholders needs and integrate them in the plan;

• Capacity to manage fast-paced changes and to develop multiple scenarios while driving and keeping project team engaged.
