Job Description
Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our long-standing manufacturing client with their search for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
Overall Purpose:
Provide a service to Production in ensuring all capital equipment is fully operational for Operations Production.
Ensure improvement in machine efficiency and adherence to plan through MBR and machine reliability.Key Duties:
Follow work methods and procedures to ensure the smooth running of plant equipment.
Solve equipment issues using effective fault diagnosis skills.
Implement immediate containment, together with longer term innovative solutions.
Ensure all documentation is completed as required.
Follow routine preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Liaise with and supervise external contractors whilst on site.
Maintain, document and order critical and consumable spares consignments.
Carry out overhauls, upgrades and rebuild equipment.
Undertake the commissioning and installation of new equipment.
Performs other duties as requested in line with position held within the business.Key Requirements:
Must be time served with a Mechanical Bias.
PLC experience is preferred but not essential.
Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics and conveyor control systems.
Experience in manufacturing environments preferred.The Package:
£42,000 per annum starting salary, which will increase after training/probation period.
Working a 6-2, 2-10 type shift pattern. May be a requirement for night shift in future depending on needs of business however not very often. Additional shift allowance would be given if so.
26 days holiday + 8 bank.
