Document Control and Records Configuration Lead – Tier 1 Contractor (Nuclear)
Avolon M&E are working with a leading Tier 1 contractor who require an experienced professional to manage a document control team as their project continues to progress at pace.

Accountabilities:
As Document Control and Records Configuration Lead, initially, you will be responsible for performing functional, day-to-day document control tasks, ensuring that the project’s documentation requirements are met efficiently and accurately. As the programme develops and the volume of documentation increases, your role will expand to include the management of a document control team. You will be instrumental in setting up the foundational processes, strategies, systems, and procedures that will guide the project through to successful completion. This shall include the deployment of a digital EDRMS.
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience
* Extensive experience in document control or information management roles on large and complex infrastructure projects, with a particular emphasis on projects in their early stages of development.
* Proven experience in setting up and managing document control systems and processes from the ground up.
* Strong knowledge of document control standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices, particularly within the construction, engineering or nuclear sectors.
* Knowledge of the nuclear regulatory requirements regarding the lifetime quality records.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficient in document control software, electronic document management systems (EDMS), and other digital tools related to document management.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in document management.
* Problem-solving abilities with a track record of delivering solutions in a fast-paced, complex project environment.
Additional Qualifications/ Experience:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as information management, engineering, or business administration.
* Previous experience in leading document control teams, particularly in a matrix structure on major projects.
* Strong functional understanding of the requirements and leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing document control team.
* Problem-solving abilities with a track record of delivering solutions in a fast-paced, complex project environment.
