Job Description
Build Maintain Recruit is working with a well-established, family-owned business, that has been providing quality craftsmanship and exceptional service to the South West region for decades. Known for their reliability, collaboration, and forward-thinking approach, they are one of the area’s most trusted manufacturers. As part of their continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced and organised Bookkeeper to join the team and support ongoing business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrated experience in a similar bookkeeping role, ideally within the construction or manufacturing sector.
Effectively manage day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining high accuracy and efficiency.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
Perform daily financial entries and bank reconciliations.
Manage debt control and support credit management processes.
Accurately prepare and track invoices in line with project timelines.
Monitor budgets to ensure alignment with financial goals and project targets.
Prepare monthly and annual VAT returns.
Assist with monthly management meetings by preparing and presenting financial reports.
Continuously evaluate and support improvements in business processes, recommending adjustments where needed. Skills and Experience
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and meet deadlines effectively.
Experience with CRM systems is beneficial.
Familiarity with other accounting software, such as Sage, is a plus.
