Civil Engineering Contract Manager | Covering projects within a 50-mile radius of Merseyside | Full Time | £70,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Civil Engineering Contract Manager with a strong background in constructing adoptable housing estate roads and sewers? As a Civil Engineering Contract Manager, you will take a pivotal role in overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all work meets the high standards for which the company is known.
You will manage various construction sites across the Merseyside region, coordinating teams and resources, while maintaining project timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
Are you the right person for the job?
* Proven track record as a Contract Manager or Project Manager within civil engineering, particularly in constructing adoptable roads and sewer systems
* Strong knowledge of road and sewer construction, with the ability to manage projects involving pipes up to 7.5 tonnes and excavation depths up to 8 metres
* Relevant civil engineering construction management experience: SMSTS or similar health and safety certification is preferred
* Excellent leadership and communication skills for effective team management and client engagement
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage challenges and keep projects on track
* Willingness to travel to project sites within a 50-mile radius of Merseyside
What will your role look like?
* Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of adoptable housing estate roads and sewers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards
* Manage multiple sites, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
* Monitor work quality and adherence to specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements
* Control project costs and resources, preparing and managing budgets, and optimising efficiency
* Enforce safety protocols on all job sites, identifying and mitigating risks to maintain a safe work environment
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring customer satisfaction
* Maintain accurate project records, including schedules, budgets, and site reports
