Workday Functional Specialist

Job Description
We are looking for a Workday Systems Specialist with expertise in Workday and ideally Oracle across HR, Payroll, Finance, and Procurement to join our team on a major program delivering scalable, cloud-based solutions for a large client base in the UK. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge SaaS technologies while supporting impactful, nationwide business transformations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with program teams and integration specialists to bring your knowledge of Workday and Oracle data structures and processes into the project’s functional, technical, and integration designs
* Conduct gap analysis and document requirements, creating clear and effective specifications to support the project lifecycle
* Lead data migration efforts through testing and implementation phases, ensuring smooth transitions and efficient data management
* Design, configure, and optimize system setups to support enhanced user experiences and seamless process flows in HR, Payroll, Finance, and Procurement
* Collaborate with stakeholders, providing expert insights and guidance to refine business needs and technology solutions
Qualifications:
* Strong data and structural knowledge of Workday and/or Oracle Cloud in HR, Payroll, Finance, or Procurement
* Experience in requirement documentation, functional specifications, and process improvements within cloud/SaaS environments
* Background in leading data structure analysis for business and tech requirements
* Oracle eBusiness Suite (R12) or Oracle Cloud Fusion Financials experience preferred
* Familiarity with PL/SQL, JavaScript, BI Publisher, and project methodologies like Agile and ITIL
* Relevant Cloud or SaaS certifications, or on-prem ERP certifications, are a bonus
