Project Manager – Enterprise IT - Support for Project X
Location: Suffolk, UK (2-3 days per week on-site)
Contract (Jan 2025, 6 months with liklihood of extention until Sept 2025)
£600 – 700/day inside IR35

Role Overview
The Project Manager will support Project X, which focuses on delivering multiple welfare buildings across The Project site. These buildings require WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity, end-user compute capabilities (including desktop, AV, and print), and associated IT infrastructure. This role is crucial in ensuring effective communication and coordination between site-based project teams, Enterprise IT (EIT), and third-party contractors. The Project Manager will oversee the flow of information, manage documentation, and coordinate the deployment and commissioning of IT hardware and infrastructure, culminating in a successful handover to Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management
• Third-Party Delivery Coordination: Facilitate and ensure the successful delivery of IT infrastructure and services by EIT’s third-party partners.
• Information Flow & Documentation Management: Act as the main communication link between site project teams, EIT product owners, and third-party contractors, ensuring clear information flow and timely documentation handling.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure that all EIT activities and contractor work adhere to The Project’s policies, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Design Phase
• Document Management: Oversee the distribution, feedback collection, and approvals for essential project documents among The Project team, EIT, and third-party providers to ensure effective information sharing and compliance.
Delivery / Service Introduction
• Contractor Performance Monitoring: Track and provide oversight of contractor performance, ensuring compliance with service agreements and quality standards.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Work with contractors and health and safety advisors to ensure alignment with The Project’s policies and construction site regulations, including CDM (Construction Design and Management) requirements.
• Service Handover: Collaborate with EIT and Enterprise Project Readiness Program (EPRP) to ensure a smooth transition of services and assets from project completion to BAU teams.

Qualifications and Skills
• Project Management Experience: Proven experience in project management within a construction or IT infrastructure environment.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with CDM regulations and experience implementing health and safety practices on construction sites.
• Communication & Coordination Abilities: Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity and end-user compute solutions (such as desktops, AV, and printing), preferably in a large-scale project setting.
• UK Driving Licence: Required.
• Security Clearance: BPSS security clearance required.

• On-Site Requirement: The role requires physical presence on The Project site 2-3 days per week in Suffolk.
• Start Date: Position to commence in January 2025, with an anticipated end date in September 2025.
