Structural Engineer – Architectural & Structural Glazing
* Competitive salary of between to £50,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience).
* Bonus Scheme.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Structural Engineer to join our thriving and well-established glazed partitioning business where you will play a key role in shaping a variety of exciting projects across the commercial building sector for blue chip clients.
Key Responsibilities of the Structural Engineer Role:
* Lead the design and analysis of various structural projects for architectural glazing including balustrades and atriums.
* Collaborate with in house design teams, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
* Participate in the preparation/presentation of proposals/bids as required including estimating timescales and costs for proposed works.
* Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Key Requirements of the Structural Engineer Role:
* BEng/MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering.
* Minimum of 4 years' experience preferably with knowledge of architectural glazing.
* Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
* Experience calculating to British standards or Eurocodes.
* Experience working with all major materials including concrete, steel and glass.
* Proficiency in structural analysis software, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
* Proficiency in MEPLA glass calculations (UDL, point load, line loads, wind loads).
* Experience of Bespoke bracketry and support framework calculations including weld specifications.
* Proficiency in fixing calculations and torque values for pull testing.
* Experience of compiling Designer SER packs for Scotland.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to apply accuracy and attention to detail within their work.
* Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
