Job Description
Project Manager (Level 2) Working Type: Hybrid
Salary - Circa £47,500 DOE + £6,000 Car Allowance & Bonuses
Locations - Leamington Spa, Northampton or Caldicot
We're supporting a prestigious global software reseller with the largest team of engineering experts, assisting clients across industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Architecture, Construction, Manufacturing, Automotive, and Motorsport.
Due to growth, they seek a Level 2 Project Manager to help customer-facing Professional Services teams complete implementation, development, and consulting projects efficiently. The role emphasises client success, clear communication, and alignment on business requirements, project plans, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to
Initiate projects with clients and internal teams (email, planning calls, client kick-off calls, etc.)
Serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle
Present standard project plans and processes to clients and teams
Coordinate meetings between internal technical teams and clients
Assist in gathering and documenting project requirements
Develop and update work breakdown structures and schedules with the project team
Identify scope changes and manage change requests as needed
Provide weekly status and budget reports to clients and teams
Organize and lead client and internal status calls
Build and manage customized project plans with support from technical team members
Ensure the project team gathers and documents all project requirements thoroughly
Conduct formal risk and issue management (using RAID logs) and collaborate with the team on mitigation strategies
Monitor and report on project Earned Value (% complete vs. % budget spent) against original estimates
Assist Sales in estimating potential project effort (days/hours) and elapsed time
Provide content and input on Proposals and Statements of Work for Sales
Mentor junior project managers on methodologies and best practices
Contribute to developing and refining project management templates, tools, and processes
Support internal marketing of Project Management services by contributing to newsletter articlesExperiences required
Proven Project Management experience in Manufacturing or Engineering
Education in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline
Completed a fundamentals course in Project Management (eLearning or instructor-led)
Certification in Project Management: PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, APM, AgilePM, Scrum Master, MSP, MoP, ITIL, or Six Sigma
Experience in managing software implementation/deployment or software development for PLM, PDM, ERP, CRM, or CPQ systemsPackage
