BIM Project Lead

Location – Banbridge
Salary - Negotiable Depending on Experience
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for one of our clients who are a multi-award winning building services contractor that specializes in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of Prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. They also offer turnkey design, build & operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout UK & Europe.
Due to continued expansion, they are now looking for a BIM Project Lead in their Banbridge office. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing BIM models and drawings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, ensuring they accurately reflect project specifications and standards. They will work closely with multiple teams, including BIM, pre-construction, design, offsite fabrication, and onsite operations, to ensure smooth integration of MEP systems into the overall project design.
Responsibility & Duties
* Ensure MEP models and drawings align with design criteria, standards, and projects
* Oversee quality control, conduct compliance checks, and implement best practices in MEP modelling.
* Identify risks, manage design changes, and track project timelines to meet deadlines.
* Resolve model clashes using tools like Navisworks and coordinate across disciplines
* Work with suppliers, communicate with stakeholders, and act as the point of contact for offsite and onsite teams
* Train junior team members, and update procedures to stay aligned with advancements.
Experience & Qualification
* Strong building services background with minimum 5 years’ experience with MEP installations on commercial scale projects, piping or pipework experience ideal
* Qualification in building services, construction or project management
* Understanding of mechanical systems in medium to large commercial projects
* Proficient in Autodesk Revit, and Navisworks for Coordination review
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages
