Job Description

We are seeking to hire a Data Controller on a 6 month fixed term contract to provide some extra support to our production teams. This will be collating documentation from the production, quality and welding teams to ensure all required paperwork and documentation is correctly completed on time and stored electronically within the correct project files.

Key Responsibilities:

* Control all aspects of project documentation on multiple simultaneous projects, utilizing various control methods/systems.

* Ensure proper document control support is given to each project.

* Ensure all documentation provided is as per Client quality formatting requirements. Formatting may include correcting templates, fonts and style, pagination and numbering and other activities that may be required to achieve a client’s documentation requirements.

* Create Document Control and correspondence folders for individual projects – Manufacturing Record Books (MRB).

* Ensure that the company policies, procedures and rules are always adhered to.

* Work to and within established systems and procedures but contribute to their ongoing development and improvement.

* Support preparations for annual compliance audits to maintain certification, including non-conformances from previous audits are closed out and containment and corrective actions are implemented as required carrying out internal audits as requested.

* Support manufacturing to meet customer requirements and improve processes.

* Helps drive a safety and quality first culture.

* Undertake other additional duties as may be reasonably necessary relate to the role.

Qualification & Skills:

* Practical / hands-on experience in document management roles, preferably in an engineering environment

* Basic understanding of engineering and related documentation

* Knowledge and experience of quality management systems & requirements

* Excellent people and organisational skills.

* The ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively, working to tight deadlines.

Essential requirements for this role:

1. Able to challenge production staff to gather required documentation.

2. Proficient using Microsoft office suite application, Word and Excel specifically

3. Able to organise and electronically scan paperwork accurately to project files
