About the Role:
Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Harrogate on a long-term supply basis starting in January 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher with a strong commitment to student engagement and academic excellence in science. The role will involve delivering high-quality science lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and informative science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment to encourage student participation and achievement.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement.
Collaborate with the science department and other staff to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Contribute to the school's wider educational ethos and participate in departmental activities.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Proven experience teaching science within a UK secondary school setting is preferred.
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
